Beaches

Centennial Park Waterfront (the Catwalk) is supervised seven days a week starting June 30th to mid August fro 10am - 6pm. The Clubhouse number is 687-5743. This area is also equipped with washroom and picnic facilities, a walking trail, gazebo, outdoor chapel and the Evergreen Stage, a performing arts stage. Walking Trail Info

Petawawa Point is another sandy spot in Petawawa that draws the crowds once the warm weather is upon us. It is an unsupervised area where patrons swim at their own risk. This beach is equipped with children’s playground, beach volleyball court, washrooms, picnic facilities, and canteen services. PCC Arena

The Petawawa Civic Centre Arena is always buzzing with activity. Being able to accommodate large groups on the arena floor (1280 capacity), we are host to a number of wedding receptions, Roller Hockey, and Ball Hockey Leagues throughout the summer months. Consider using the arena floor for your upcoming special event this summer. In the winter many hockey clubs, Minor Sports, and Petawawa Figure Skating Club make the Civic Centre their home so open ice-time can be difficult to get.

PCC Civitan Playland

The Civic Centre features the Civitan Playland with a large selection of play apparatus for pre-school and elementary age children. Come out with the family and get some fresh air while the children have some fun!

PCC Fitness Cluster

A complete fitness exercise station with instructions is located between arena and soccer fields and is open for public use at any time.

PCC Fund Raising Lounge

The Civic Centre's Fund Raising Lounge accommodates up to 50 people and can be rented at a very reasonable rate for training seminars, union meetings, or social gatherings. PCC Main Hall

The Civic Centre's tastefully decorated community hall has a seating capacity of 325 with a liquor permit and dance floor or 480 theater style. Ten electronic air cleaners and an elaborate exhaust system have been installed for the comfort of non-smokers. The Civic Centre cordially requests the honor of hosting your reception in our banquet hall.

Horseshoe pits are available at the Petawawa Civic Centre. Horseshoes available at the Kinhut. For booking info or if you would like to start up a Horseshoe Club, please call 687-5678 ext.26.

Petawawa Public Library

Hours: Monday - Thursday 11 am - 8 pm
Friday 10 am - 6 PM
Saturday 11 am - 3 PM
Sunday & Public Holidays Closed

Our services offered include bilingual adult, teen, childrens' books, magazines and videos, as well as children's programming. Our collection also includes CDs and CD Roms. We have public access internet computers, on which patrons can access LawNow and ELibrary. We will perform interlibrary loans, and service to shut-in patrons.

Marina/Boat Launching

Boat launching facilities are available at Petawawa Point which are free to the public. There is also a commercial launch facility at Pine Ridge Park and a full service marina at CFB Petawawa.


Nursery School - Kinder Connection Nursery School

The nursery school is licensed by the Ministry of Community and Social Services and is open for children ages 2 to 5 years (children do not need to be potty trained). Positive interaction with children is the focus of this organization. Located at Norman Behnke Hall, 11 Norman St., Petawawa, the building is set up for preschool children with an attached kitchen and fenced-in playground. Outdoor Rinks

Pine Ridge Park

Everyone is welcome to enjoy the fresh air on Petawawa’s Outdoor Rink. Located behind OPP Headquarters, the outdoor rink generally operates from December to February, depending on the weather. The ice surface is available for use daily until 9pm, at which time lights will be turned off. Molson Breweries, Greater Petawawa Minor Hockey Association, Petawawa Civic Centre, and the Outdoor Rink Committee have recently made donations in 2000 to cover costs of current upgrades to the facility. These upgrades will benefit all outdoor ice-enthusiasts for years to come. For more information call 687-5678. Millennium Rink

Thanks to generous community volunteers, Centennial Park will be transformed into a winter wonderland for outdoor enthusiasts during the winter months (weather permitting). Call 687-5678 for details

Legion - Petawawa Br. 517

Drop by the Legion at 3583 Petawawa Boulevard for cards each Sunday afternoon at 2:30 p m. We are located on the north side of the Petawawa bridge. For more information about programs, hall rentals, or activities please fell free to call 687-2504.

Lions Community Hall
