Sponsorship Program

Petawawa's Container Market has been realized with the support of local businesses and organizations and with authorization from the municipal Council and considerable staff input from all the various departments.  We wish to thank all of our partners who have seen the opportunity to "think inside the box" and create some much-needed exposure space for our entrepreneurs and small businesses.

If you or your business is interested in sponsorship opportunities associated with the Petawawa Container Market please review the programs available at the bottom of this page.

Our main Container unit sponsors are highlighted here with a brief detail about who they are and what they represent:

Hyska’s Your Independent Grocer

Hyska’s Your Independent Grocer is our local grocery store proudly owned by resident and community volunteers Val and Steve Hyska.  Val and Steve are always exploring ways to support other businesses and give back to the community.  From their participation and representation on various organizations, to their fundraising efforts for the Petawawa Pantry, to featuring local products for sale in their store, this veteran military family is always advocating for this community.  So pleased to welcome Hyska’s YIG as a Unit Sponsor in the Container Market program.

The Rotary Club of Petawawa

Rotary started under the founding vision of Paul Harris, a Chicago attorney, in 1905.  It was created so professionals, with diverse backgrounds, could network, exchange ideas and develop friendships.  Over time, humanitarian efforts, became the new extension of the organizations work, addressing community challenges, around the world.  Service above self is their guiding motto.

Thrilled that the Rotary Club of Petawawa sees the Container Market as an opportunity to support local entrepreneurial development and specifically to address challenges these groups have faced in bringing their products and services to market as a result of the pandemic and has collaborated as a Unit Sponsor in the Container Market program.

PMFRC Employment Services

Employment Service is a proud division of the Petawawa Military Family Resource Centre (PMFRC), a not-for-profit agency that strives to meet the needs of Canadian Forces families, as well as local community members.  They offer a bilingual service delivery for Employment Ontario, which allows users direct access to all of the best tools, programs, and incentives available in Ontario.  Employment Service is a free and confidential service whose goal is to connect Upper Ottawa Valley residents with high-quality jobs and local employers with a competitive workforce.
It is a tribute to the PMFRC Employment Services vision and understanding of the local military community that they support entrepreneurial development and have partnered with this Container Market program as a Unit Sponsor.
