Geocaching

Learn the rules of this worldwide treasure hunt at www.geocaching.com.  Then use a GPS unit (downloading of geocaches in advance required) or download the app for your smartphone and give geocaching a try.  It is a great way to explore your local area as you find yourself trudging through the trees and looking behind rocks to “find the prize.” Let the kids feel like explorers or pirates looking for treasure.
