Petawawa, ON – Deputy Mayor Gary Serviss, Councillor Theresa Sabourin and Councillor Murray Rutz were among the municipal staff and media who braved The Mystery of the Philospher's Stone escape room experience.  While they did not successfully escape the room in the prescribed amount of time, the group did have great fun and came close to solving the mystery.  We will not spoil the room with the reveal, we will only say this was a great escape!

Petawawa, ON – Tick Tock Escape Rooms is a new interactive entertainment venue, the brainchild of self-proclaimed escape room addicts, Travis Turcotte and Joseph “Joey” Melbourne. Work mates as well as business partners, these creative story masters have crafted an experience sure to enchant any generation.

The Mystery of the Philosopher’s Stone is their inaugural escape room experience. The objective is to work with a group, ideally four to eight of your friends or colleagues, to solve clues and puzzles as a tale unfolds.  The authenticity of the experience comes in the décor and period specific materials that are revealed as you interact with elements throughout the room.

If you haven’t yet experienced an escape room, this is the place to begin!  With a few weeks of group engagements now complete, Travis and Joey are inspired and amazed at the metamorphosis their business model has already undertaken.  They certainly didn’t expect to be inundated with so many birthday or themed party requests; an opportunity they are all too pleased to accommodate.  When asked with the greatest joy of their enterprise has been thus far, they both agree that converting the nay-sayers or the reluctant to this type of entertainment experience is the ultimate reward.

Plans are already underway for an additional escape room which the owners are claiming is inspired by Jules Vernes classic Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.

Members of Petawawa Council will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Thursday, April 25th at 6:30 pm before they assume the challenge of the Mystery of the Philosoher’s Stone.  Stay posted.
