Recommendation:
That Council approves the award of Tender PW-17-2025 - Supply and Delivery of LED Sport Field Lighting, to the lowest bidder being Petawawa Electric Ltd. in the amount of $127,515.00 plus HST.
Discussion:
The tender was prepared and advertised on our website and social media pages. Fourteen (14) firms requested tender packages and three (3) firms submitted complete tenders on the closing date of September 16, 2025 at 10:00 a.m.
Contractors and Tender Price (excluding HST):
Petawawa Electric Ltd. - $127,515.00
Nedco - $127,710.00
Welk Electric - $159,917.52
Financial Implication:
In accordance with the Town’s Procurement Policy, Council approval to award this tender is required as this bid exceeds the monetary threshold of $100,000.
The budget for this tender is $132,162.00, for supply and delivery of the lights. Funds will need to be budgeted in 2026 to have the lights installed.
The funding for this tender was included in the approved 2025 budget.
