Recommendation:
That Council approves the award of Tender PW-07-2025, Hot Mix Asphalt Resurfacing, to the lowest bidder being Bonnechere Excavating Inc. in the amount of $234,309.45 plus HST.
Discussion:
The tender was prepared and advertised on our website and social media pages. Seven (7) firms requested tender packages and three (3) firms submitted complete tender packages on the closing date of April 29, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.
Contractor and Tender Price (excluding HST):
Bonnechere Excavating Inc. - $234,309.45
Greenwood Paving (Pembroke) Ltd. - $245,201.00
McCrea Excavating Ltd. - $293,500.00
This tender includes road resurfacing projects at:
- Jason Street & Jamie Crescent intersection (from Carla Street to Jamie Crescent); and
- Eichstaedt Road (from Black Bay Road to Murphy Road).
Financial Implication:
The funding for this tender was included in the approved 2025 budget.
