The Town of Petawawa is currently seeking an experienced professional to fulfill the position of IT Coordinator. The IT Coordinator is responsible for the coordination, maintenance, and support for all Town of Petawawa computer-related hardware and software, and provides technical support for all computer and network software/hardware from the users’ desktop computers to the network file services including physical connections.
Ensures the operational status and functional efficiency of all Town computer systems including training of staff and troubleshooting problems
Provides daily technical support for all departmental computer systems and guidance to users for desktop and internet-based applications
Creates corporate operating system images for all departmental workstations, including all new workstation hardware and peripherals, performing ongoing maintenance as necessary to minimize user downtime
Performs network administration tasks such as server maintenance, backup rotation, and updates/upgrades
Note: This position is located on-site at Town Hall and is not a remote position
Certified Electronics/Computer Technician Current Microsoft certification in desktop administration is preferred
Equivalent to Community College diploma in computer studies or networking area plus industry certification
Network and/or security administration experience and relevant designation is considered an asset
