The Town of Petawawa is currently seeking responsible, friendly staff to operate food services in the Civic Centre canteen, hall and Kinhut, as well as operating the Civic Centre mini putt. Also provides off site cleaning of washrooms in the mornings.
Description of Position:
- Ensuring customers are served promptly and politely.
- Responsible for the cleanliness of the Canteen/Kinhut and its equipment, as well as the tables in the eating area. Cleans off site bathrooms in the morning only.
- Operations of the mini putt, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits.
- Operating equipment and preparing food.
- Performing daily inventory tasks and ensuring stock is refilled at the end of each shift.

Responsible for the daily register deposit and submitting it to the Facility Operator on duty.

Strict adherence to The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) guidelines.

Responsible for providing customers with putters, balls, score cards and pencils.

Completing a visual inspection of the area and reporting any safety concerns or vandalism to the Facility Operator on duty before each shift.

Ensuring customers are not vandalizing the equipment or course.

Ensuring washrooms are stocked with supplies.

Recording any required maintenance for the mini putt in the daily log.
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of hot food preparation
- Ability to work well with the public
- Requires physical effort (i.e. carrying a case of pop)
- Trustworthy and works well in a team environment
- Flexibility in schedule to work days, evenings and weekends, in conjunction with facility requirements
Hours of Work:
- 15-30 hours per week
- Potential to stay on during the school year at reduced hours
Rate of Pay: $17.20 per hour.
