Doran Road Infrastructure Improvements
The Town of Petawawa awarded the contract for the Doran Road Infrastructure Improvements to Do-All Construction on June 5, 2023. This project includes underground infrastructure improvements along Doran Road, from Petawawa Boulevard to Murphy Road (a distance of 1.0 km). The works include spot repairs to the sanitary sewer system via trenchless technologies and watermain improvements including two (2) new fire hydrants, one (1) new watermain valve and restorations. The project is scheduled to begin construction mid July 2023 and is anticipated to be completed by August 31, 2023.
During the project, the road will remain open to traffic; however, lane reductions will be implemented to facilitate the work.
Water shutdowns will be required to complete the watermain improvements. The contractor will provide affected residents a minimum of 24 hours notice prior to any water shutdowns.
Properties located adjacent to the limits of construction will receive notification from Englobe Corp. requesting authorization to complete a pre-construction inspection of the private property. Property owners are encouraged to schedule this free inspection prior to the start of construction, and should be advised that these inspections will only be performed at the discretion of individual property owners or their representatives. This inspection is completed to provide a baseline of the condition of the home prior to the commencement of construction. It would only be referred to should a resident feel that damage was done to their home as a result of the construction activity.
The Town of Petawawa has retained the engineering firm of Jp2g Consultants Inc. to complete the contract administration and on-site inspection services required for this project.
