Reconstruction of Albert Street from Victoria Street to Louise Street will begin June 1, 2022 and be completed by October 30, 2022.
The project works will include paving and grading, concrete curbs, asphalt multi-use pathway, water and sanitary improvements, drainage improvements, landscaping, and line painting. Road Closures will be required to complete the work. Detours will be put in place. There will be periods when access to driveways will be restricted (concrete curb installation, asphalt driveway paving, etc.); however, the contractor will provide residents with as much notification as possible.
Properties located adjacent to the limits of construction should be receiving a notification, on behalf of the contractor requesting authorization to complete a pre-construction inspection of their private property. Property owners are encouraged to schedule this free inspection prior to the start of construction, and should be advised that these inspections will only be performed at the discretion of individual property owners or their representatives. This inspection is completed to provide a baseline of the condition of the house prior to the commencement of construction. It would only be referred to should a resident feel that damage was done to their house as a result of the construction activity.
Please be advised that the engineering firm of Jp2g Consultants Inc. has been retained to complete the contract administration and on-site inspection services required by this project. We encourage residents or property owners to contact Rob Sapinski from Jp2g Consultants Inc. at 613-735-2507 or by email firstname.lastname@example.org should you have any questions or concerns relating to this project during the course of construction.
