Restricted Fire Zone Lifted

Please Note Immediately - Restricted Fire Zone Lifted

As of 4:00 p.m. July 11, 2023 - The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry lifted the Restricted Fire Zone for our area. This means there is no longer a fire ban in effect for the Town of Petawawa. Residents may proceed with having recreational and campground fires subject to having a valid fire permit and appropriate extinguishing agent.

Please ensure your recreational fire permit does not expire - the June 30th expiry date has been extended to July 19th; failure to renew your fire permit will result in the fire permit being cancelled and you will need to reapply for a new fire permit.

As of 12:01 a.m. June 1, 2023 - The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry will implement a Restricted Fire Zone for our area. This means there will be a complete fire ban in effect for Petawawa and all recreational, campground, and rural fire permits are suspended until further notice. The Town of Petawawa Fire Department appreciates your cooperation.
