Whether you're here for the first time or returning to explore more of what Petawawa has to offer, the Visitor Information Centre is your go-to destination for local knowledge, maps, brochures, and expert guidance.

Located adjacent to the Algonquin Trail (15 Norman St.), our team is ready to help you discover the best trails, attractions, events, and hidden gems in and around our beautiful town. From outdoor adventures to dining, accommodations, and community happenings, we’re here to ensure your visit is enjoyable, memorable, and filled with everything that makes Petawawa special.


Make sure to grab a map or brochure and check out some of the best destinations in Town:

Petawawa Point Beach

Canoe, kayak and paddleboard rentals as well as great swimming, fishing, and a free-use boat launch. Make sure to check out the numerous accessible features the Town has to help get every-body on the water.

Petawawa River

Offers whitewater opportunities with high-water adventures for paddlers with whitewater experience. Check out rapids like Railroad, Lovers, and Golf Course Rapids, all located in the town section of the river.

Construction Yard Bike Park

A free-use bike park with jumps and skills areas for all skill levels and ages. Test your skills and techniques there.

Snowmobile and ATV Trails

Trails pass right by the V.I.C. and it's a great place to start your trail ride. Park and head out on the Algonquin Trail or explore the off-road Black Bay Trails as a part of the local RC ATV Club.
