EDI Logo Contest PosterAttention all local artists! Are you ready to leave your mark on our community?

The Town of Petawawa Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee is excited to announce a logo contest that invites you to showcase your creativity and talent. We are on the lookout for a logo that embodies the values surrounding equity, diversity and inclusion. 

Whether you are a seasoned professional or a novice artist, everyone is welcome to participate. 

Eligibility:  Open to any resident or business owners who live or work in the Town of Petawawa and any indigenous member of the unceded territory of the Anishnaabe people. 

Guidelines:

  1. Design must be wholly original. By submitting a design, you are guaranteeing that you hold all rights to the design, and anything contained within the design, that it may be printed on distributed and that it does not contain any copyright material. If it is found, at any time after the design is submitted, that the design is alleged to be someone else’s design, the person who submitted the design shall indemnify the Town for any losses (direct or indirect) that arise from the allegation. 

  1. Design must uphold values of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Therefore, any inappropriate designs will be disqualified. 

  1. Participants are limited to (2) entries.  Entries can be submitted by an individual or as a collaborative effort.

  1. Collaborative entries should be indicated upon entering. Recognition on the Town of Petawawa website and social media may include each contributing member of the group submitting a collaborative entry when feasible. 

  1. Entries become the property of the Town of Petawawa.  The Town of Petawawa reserves the right to adjust all entries, including size and placement of the logo as well as colours of the design to match the Town of Petawawa branding. 

  1. Participants must submit a PDF or JPEG file for judging.  The winner/winners of the contest will be asked to submit a high-resolution file with a transparent background. Submissions must include a colour file as well as a black and white file.

  1. Participants may also submit a written interpretation of their design. This should be no more than 500 words and can be typed or handwritten. 

All artworks must be emailed to email@petawawa.ca by June 3rd for judging. The winning participant(s) will receive a $250 cheque.
