The Pembroke and Area Airport sees close to 5,000 aircraft movements each year.  The military, life-saving services, businesses, and tourists are among the users who benefit from having this local airport in our rural community.

The Airport is overseen by a Commission comprised of the following interests; the Town of Petawawa, the Township of Laurentian Valley, the City of Pembroke, the Town of Deep River, the Township of Whitewater Region, the Town of Laurentian Hills and Garrison Petawawa.

The Airport is located at 176 Len Hopkins Drive, Pembroke ON (within the geographic boundaries of the Town of Petawawa).

The Pembroke and Area Airport has a strong finish to 2023 and is looking forward to opportunities in 2024.

The document details the many partner businesses and organizations that utilize the Airport services and noted the Airport celebrated its 55th anniversary in 2023. 

They have successfully raised $300,000 as part of their project runway renewal fundraising efforts.

This project is a collaboration of many entities all working to support and grow this vital asset to our region.  

Project Runway

The Airport is fundraising for the future replacement of its runway!  Project Runway is essentially “selling” a foot of runway for these efforts.  The cost per foot is $250.00 and the runway is 5,000 feet long, the campaign is looking to raise $1.25 million to meet this fundraising goal!  Purchase a foot of the runway today!
