Hydro One will be beginning an environmental assessment to relocate a section of our 115 kilovolt transmission line, known as Circuit D6 that crosses an active area of the Department of National Defence’s Garrison Petawawa military base. Moving the line will ensure our crews can safely perform refurbishment work on equipment that is nearing its end of life and ensure Hydro One infrastructure doesn’t disrupt military activities. This work is in support of the broader investments we are currently making on Circuit D6 between Pembroke and Des Joachims, which includes the replacement of wood poles, shield wire and conductors, as well as you may recall the generators we ran in Petawawa back in Fall 2020.
Please see below for the attachment notice for more details. This notice will be received by residents in the next 2 weeks.
We look forward to engaging with you more on this work and will soon let you know of public engagement opportunities we are planning for the Fall (hopefully before hunting season gets underway!). In the interim, please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.
