The Stanley Cup will be making its way to the Town of Petawawa

Petawawa, ON – Colorado Avalanche skating coach Shawn Allard will be showcasing his day with the cup in his hometown of Petawawa.  A native of Petawawa, Shawn grew up playing for his local minor hockey association before turning professional.

Allard is the founder of Perfect Skating, an elite hockey skills and skating business with locations in Ottawa and the valley.

Mr. Allard and family will be hosting the event on the Petawawa Civic Centre arena floor from 6:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. on August 30^th.  The event will kick off with Shawn escorted from Garrison Petawawa in a LAV (light armoured vehicle) that will make its way to the Petawawa Civic Centre.  People will be encouraged to acknowledge Shawn along the route, congratulating him (escorted route will be released closer to the date).

Upon arrival to the Civic Centre, Mr. Allard will address the crowd outside the Civic Centre, before the trophy is swept away and placed inside the Civic Centre, where a complimentary photo booth will be present, along with music and a cash bar for the community to enjoy.

The family would like to take this opportunity and give back to the community.  In doing so, they have set up a fundraiser.  Money raised for the event will be donated to the Petawawa Civic Centre Fundraising Committee and will be ear marked for a Community Initiative.

Admission will be by donation of choice only.  All are encouraged to pre-donate with the link below to obtain their ticket to access the Cup as floor capacity is limited to 1200.  It is recommended securing your ticket to avoid disappointment.
