Active Transportation Plan - Final Plan

September 24, 2018  Council adopted the Final Active Transporation Plan (ATP) for Petawawa.


September 14, 2018  A revised version of the Draft Active Transportation Plan (ATP) for Petawawa is now complete and reflects discussions with staff and Council which occured during the WSP presentation on August 9, 2018.  This version of the plan will be included in the September 24th agenda with a request from staff for Council to endorse it.  Please note that there were no changes to the document appendices, just content within the summary report detailed in pages 1-68.


August 9, 2018  The draft version of the Petawawa Active Transportation Plan (ATP)  has been completed by the consultants WSP.  An overview of this report is being provided to Council at the August 13th Council-in-Committee meeting.  Following this presentation any additions or corrections to the ATP will occur and a final draft will be prepared for Council's endorsement.  The draft plan and presentation are a file attachment to this webpage.


April 13, 2018  Thank you to all the stakeholders and community at large who attended our consultation sessions on Thursday April 12, 2018, despite the unusual weather.  We had great discussions and priorities that came out of those sessions.  There is still an opportunity for those who could not attend to provide thier input.  In the attached files is a draft ATP network concept as well as a brief survey.  The survey can be completed and dropped off at the municipal office at 1111 Victoria St. Petawawa or you can complete the survey by clicking the link and going directly to our online portal.

April 2, 2018   Petawawa is preparing an Active Transportation Plan (ATP) to develop a realistic, feasible and implementable blueprint for the planning, design and implementation of non-motorized routes, infrastructure and promotion over the short, medium and long term.  The ATP will guide decision-making, coordination and collaboration between Council, local municipal staff, community partners and residents.
