You can soak up the sun, lay in the sand or go for a swim at one of Petawawa’s various beaches along the Ottawa River. Petawawa Point offers a stretch of sandy beach, canoe and kayak rentals and a place to launch a boat. The Ottawa River stretches for miles and the islands across the channel resemble the Georgian Bay area which is a great place to explore in your canoe or kayak. Just up river you will find Black Bear and Kiska Beach which are located on Garrison Petawawa and are open to the public.

Petawawa Point

Petawawa Point Beach is an unsupervised beach and is a swim at your own risk area. There is a buoyed swimming area to guide you to a safe location for swimming.  The Town of Petawawa offers a number of summer camp programs at this park.

Petawawa Point offers canoe, kayak, tandem kayak and stand up paddle board rentals. PFD, paddle and all safety gear are included with the price of your rental. PFD's must be worn by users at all times.
