Disaster Recovery Assistance - Sessions to Complete Forms

Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing (MMAH) will be conducting four (4) sessions to aid homeowners who will be submitting application to the Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) program.  These sessions are open and available to anyone needing assistance.  Each meeting will have a brief presentation and opportunity for one on one meetings with MMAH representatives.
 

July 23rd - Eganville at Eagles Nest - 1:00 pm for individual assistance - 3:00 pm presentation
July 23rd - White Water Region at Westmeath Arena - 6:30 pm presentation followed by individual assistance
July 24th - Laurentian Valley at Shady Nook Recreation Centre - 1:00 pm for individual assistance - 3:00 pm presentation
July 24th - Horton Township at the Community Centre - 6:30 pm presentation followed by individual assistance.
 


The Ontario Government has declared that Renfrew County will be eligible for Diaster Recovery Assistance.

Disaster Recovery Assistance for Ontarians (DRAO) is a program that can help you recover costs after a natural disaster. We may activate DRAO for damage to private property if there’s a sudden, unexpected natural event, such as a flood or tornado that causes costly and widespread damage in your area.

If you are eligible, you could be reimbursed for:

  • clean up expenses
  • costs to repair or replace essential property
  • basic emergency expenses like evacuation travel costs
