Craft Classes

Algonquin Sewing Centre offers classes in quilting, sewing, knitting, crochet, tole-painting, smocking, silk ruban embroidery and serger operation. A sewing club membership offers discounts on notions and craft supplies. Contact Linda Spagnola at 732-4789 for more details.

The Stained Glass Shoppe

Classes are offered to beginners on Tuesday or Thursday. All stained glass materials and tools are available at the shop. Related materials and/or courses can be supplied. Three hour workshops are open on Wednesdays to glass artists wishing to rent table space and use shop tools.

Bingo

Civitan

You are invited to come and try your luck at the Greater Petawawa Civitan Club BINGO held at the Petawawa Civic Centre on Sundays at 7 pm. There is ample free parking and a canteen in the non-smoking air-conditioned hall. Contact Ed Yahnke at 687-4139.

Lions Club

Lions Club members gather on Thursday evenings to host a 50/50 Bingo with 20 regular games and 2 jackpots . Call 687-5020 for details.

Family and Senior's Skating

The Petawawa Civic Centre hosts a FREE skate for families and seniors every Wednesday and Friday from 11:45 am - 12:45 pm, beginning mid-September. Everyone on the ice must be wearing skates. A number of supports are available for use at no charge for those just getting used to their blades! Also available is a senior's only skate on Friday mornings. Questions? Public Skating

Civic Centre is host to Sunday afternoon skating from 1-2:30 pm from early October - exceptions apply - please call to confirm. Summer Day Camp

In an effort to reduce duplication of services, the Petawawa Civic Centre supports the day camp program provided at the Rec Plex which provides area children, between the ages of 3 - 13, with the opportunity to enhance their summer through crafts, sports, sing songs, nature hikes, day trips and many, many more exciting activities. Youth Dances

Various youth organizations host dances for Pre-Teens up to age 14, almost every Friday throughout the school year. Check the town clock for details or call 687-5678 and press 1 to hear the schedule for dances.
