We moved to Pet in 1970 on Ethel St. 3 boys Dale, Dwayne and Greg Clark. See lots of names in here I fondly remember. Married my childhood girlfriend Vicky Slaunwhite. We love Pet and funny enough our kids love it more. Love to hear about any reunions planned for Panet or Champlain. News is infrequent since my father sold and moved away 3 years ago.

Hello all,
I lived in Petawawa from 1971 to 1976 and went to Herman St. Public School and Victoria St. Public School for grade 6.
Hoping to re-connect with some childhood friends. Names that come to mind are Penny Okum, Helen Mohns, Shawn Clouthier, and George that I used to walk to school with.
I remember the little variety store across from the school fondly - Binky's I think it was called. |

Hello I just found this site and I remember the fog truck we used to chase it everytime it came around.My family live @ 3356 Brock Square from 1963 to early 1974 I went to General Lake Public School and we hung around with the Holidays,Weatherbee,Quakenbush,The Stewart and the Anderson They used to make a big hockey rink in the back of our house so the guys could play hockey in the winter. We were there when the bridge collapse to take you over to the base and when the propane tank exploded in behind the bemish store when they were having a dance in the front, The Petawawa point was the best place for swimming . |

I had some good times in Pet living on the base from 1987-1993. Of course most of them are hazy since I was 8 when I moved away. Still remember good old 3682 Dundonald Drive though. |

Moved to Petawawa from Kingston in 1960.Lived on the south side, 3932 Dundonald Drive until 1964. Joined the Artillery in July 1964 and my first posting was back to Camp Petawawa. Served with 4RCHA. Attended General Panet from 61-1964. Remustered to Physical Training Instructor and retired in 1989 as a Peri Sergeant. As kids there, we use to run the logs down the Petawawa River as far as the Ottawa River. Gotta love the Ottawa Valley. Still have many wonderful friends there and I miss them dearly............ |
